Fitzroy, 8:29 pm
$480.00 / Sold Out
Every drawing from ‘SIX WORKS’ is an original piece which follows the changing times of day in different suburbs across Melbourne - this one in particular, 'Fitzroy, 8:29 pm' is the most warming and familiar, in my opinion. I referenced a sunset in Fitzroy that was suffuse with pollen, pollution and a brilliant peach shade. I have used soft pastel on paper, hand-grinding the pigments and working from a photograph of the sky - during either a sunrise or sunset - to capture the shifting tones.
Two options are available for work in this series: framed and unframed.
My serving suggestion for this piece is a colourful orange frame, created by United Measures Framing. They use Australian hardwood (11/38 profile), hand-painted, UV matt clear coat finish, UV protective glass, float mounted artwork.
Unframed size: 590 x 420mm [A2]
Framed size: 730 x 560mm
Medium: Soft pastel on Arches Watercolour Paper, 300 GSM, acid free paper, archival quality stock.
Each drawing will be packaged in archival polypropylene sleeve and flat packed in a protective envelope via Australia Post, with tracking Number Provided.
If selecting the framed option, I will email to arrange delivery options.
